Lisa Aldridge SRSB SRSH I am 44 years old. I was in house trained by my Dad in Barbering and hot towel shaves.
I wanted to gain my qualification in hairdressing. Which I gained in 2002. While I was gaining my qualification I realised my passion was in Barbering and I wanted to own my own Barbers shop.
I opened Loxley Barbers with a bussiness partner in 2009. In 2012 my bussiness partner wanted to end the partnership. At this time I was able to secure a 10 year lease.
Going it alone and making Loxley Barbers the shop it is today.
I have managed to gain State Registered Senior Barber and State Registered Senior Hairdresser. In 2017 Loxley Barbers became the first Barbers in Peterborough to have become an Accredited Barbers by British Barbers Association.
My long term goal is to turn Loxley Barbers in to a training Academy to pass on my Knowledge to the next generation of barbers. I am almost there, my first apprentice joined in 2014, 2 years later my second apprentice joined and in 2017 Peterborough Regional College asked if I could take on another Apprentice.
In 2018 I returned to college to start my assessors course. TAQA Level 3 with City and Guilds I also started Further Education and Training Pttls Level 3 with City and Guilds. I have completed both courses and gained my accreditation in both. Also in 2018 i gained Master Craftman in Barbering.
I have always strived to provide a service to my customers by giving a Professional, Reliable Service at reasonable Prices. I am very excited about the years to come
Lilly Swain 25 years old I first started woman's hair dressing at Stamford college gaining my Level 3 qualification. I then decided then I would like to further my skills by learning Barbering. In 2014 I joined Loxley Barbers as an apprentice and I began my in house training. Where I learnt how to cut and style men's hair. By the end of 2015 I was being taught Hot Towel Shaves which have recently become very popular. I enjoy working at Loxley Barbers and I get on very well with the whole team. Now I've been working here for almost 4 years I've gotten to know a lot of regular customers, some who even wait for me to do their hair. Thank you to everyone who has helped me get where I am now. In 2019 I left Loxley Barbers to get experience else where. In December 2020 I have come back to what I love and assist Lisa with her health conditions
Stefan Laluna age 17 years I started as a Saturday boy while still at school. When I left school I became full time. I felt as though I wasn't learning as much as my other class mates. In April 2017 I came to Loxley Barbers. Since being at Loxley Barbers i have progressed and learning every day. .I have come out of my shell and enjoy working well within the team. In August 2018 I passed my apprenticship and in September 2018 I returned to college to gain my level 3 in Babrbering
